Welcome to your wood element yoga practice!

Wood element yoga addresses the liver and gallbladder meridians in the physical and mental-emotional bodies and focuses on toning the inner thighs, inner and outer hips, neck, shoulders, and the entire outside line of the body.

 

This intention and focus in attention in wood element yoga specify and increase the benefits you receive, helping you to:

 

Release toxicity, anger, irritability, impatience, and frustration by clarifying and detoxifying your body-mind —  so you can feel more patient and  peaceful on the path of passionate plans and decisive actions unique to your soul’s purpose.
This 90-minute practice starts out with some standing qi gong and lymphatic drainage movements and moves into a highly intentional Hatha practice.
Because the wood element is directly supported by the water and earth elements, the wood yoga practice is balanced out with backline opening to soothe and relax the nervous system and earth-focused grounding to feel strong, centered and deeply present.

I started my meditation practice in 2000, my yoga practice in 2001, holistic health coaching in 2004, and started teaching movement in 2008. I’ve been working with five-element theory since 2016.
